Sidelining Our Motherland Traditional Wisdom Brings Our Excruciation

Corrupt Lost Poor Souls

Now looking closely to this modern world, a world with scientific knowledge and advancement our ancestral knowledge is regarded as degenerative. Modernity split up knowledge into compartments and practice mass production that drives consumerism. Modern economy is centered on consumer based growth which underprices resources.

With ignorance and arrogance the modern man disconnected from the original culture which promote sound resource management. There is a sense of meaningless in all the challenges we are facing,  more people are hungry, food is being over produced and wasted which lacks relevance. Modern man forget that he/she is part of nature that is a continuing chain that carries a legacy and responsibility.

Modern man being programmed to be corruptive embrace the ecologically deficit culture that is hyper urban technologically focused. Man shifted from traditional knowledge that promotes self reliance and make the most of what is available to be consumers who exploit nature. Modernity created a disengaged generation of poor souls.

Cruel Legacies Of Profiteers

Profiteers in need of quick profits lacks stewardship and come up with processes that actually makes people sick. Cancer , antibiotic resistant, human organ failure, viruses and harmful bacterias are some of the cruel legacies of the Profiteers including climate change and global warming. Profiteers with their factory farming trashed some of our best landscapes.

Profiteers break the chain that carries a legacy and responsibility to generate profits fast. In the factory farms and food processing plants they created super bugs . They confined farm animals in factory farms devoiding them to practice their natural ways and feed them hormones and chemicals to speed up growth , these hormones and chemicals didn’t affect humans only but they also affect the animals because they grow rapidly and extremely large and cause them to suffer from enlarged heart , extra body weight, heat stress resulting in sudden death and shortened life span. They over apply pesticides and chemicals that end up in food people eat, genetically modified ingredients also affect the nutritional value of food. The practice of monoculture deprives the environment it’s biodiversity. Food processing companies harbor harmful chemicals.

Misconception of scientists and profiteers cost our planet scarcity and hunger. Industrialization which brings about factory farming pollutes water bodies and the air, degrades the soil and acts as a catalyst for climate change. Mass production of technology, food and everything is socially and economically unsustainable. Now due to these misconception that are ecologically unfriendly we are facing terrible times erratic droughts, chronic diseases and micronutrients deficiencies. They created a dead system which is complicating the livability of our planet.

Sustainability For Development

Earning a living in the expenses of our ecosystem or commoners isn’t sustainable. Having a legacy that respect nature and a responsibility that ensures continuity and growth of a healthy ecosystem thus sustainability for development. Sustainability for development must pass along the right imprint for the next generations to come.

In the sub Saharan Africa we need to turn to be sustainable to develop our economies. We are facing the real calamity of climate change our socio-economic activities must be sustainable so that we can be free from the poverty trap. To have a sustainable food security system we need to practice climate resilient agriculture which conserve indigenous seeds and resilient animals, water and soil conservation. What we need is a diverse system that addresses food security much better.

Furthermore to find answers to feed the hungry nationals we need to unlock some greatest innovations in agriculture. As a smart generation we need to find solutions that can harness technology sustainably so that we can increase productivity without destroying our ecosystem. What we need the most is a powerful paradigm shift so that we can bring back the condition of health, stop uneconomical activities and over consumption of planet resources to heal the landscapes.

Re Interaction With Our Roots Is Another Answer We Can Implement To Invest In The Next Generation

If we want to invest in the next generation re interaction with our roots is vital as is was ecologically health with positive economical and social outcomes. Conservation of the indigenous species our ancestors practice, keeps the ecosystem intact. If we can copy our ancestors’ ways of farming which was diverse, organic and in harmony with nature , farming will be more easier, more profitable and healthier as organic farming promotes a greater diversity of micronutrients, taste, tenderness and nutrient density.

With climate change catastrophy we need to learn like our ancestors how the ecosystems work and what ecosystem function actually is and how to manage that so its not damaged. As our ancestors make the most of available resources that promotes self reliance we can turn back to their culture of self reliance to self sufficient. Diversified farms must be a norm and bringing back of wildlife habitat for every resource in the ecosystem serve multiple functions .

We need to turn back to eat wild foods which are healthy, conserve native plants and breeds that are climate resilient and preserve biodiversity for a sustainable food security system. We need to nurture our nature like our ancestors used to do to have a sustainable and eco-friendly way of living. Re Interaction with our roots reproducing natural processes makes us truly belongs to nature so we can solve our economic and social problems.
